Tray 6 in!

I put in my #6 trays last night. I was supposed to change them after 12 days but I opted to do the full 2 weeks because they still felt like they were pushing. In any case, here's a picture update. I think I can see the gap between the front two bottom teeth has closed just a tiny bit. This is the first time I've seen a visible change. Before this, I noticed differences in the positioning of my teeth when flossing.

Slight concern. Yesterday when I popped in the new trays, there were large air bubbles visible under the aligners and I could see that the aligners were not making full contact with the bite surface of the molars. The bottom left has been somewhat problematic and that's where I feel like the aligners aren't really doing much and the fit isn't as good as it could be. We'll see though.

The bottom two middle teeth are definitely closer. I hope the rest of the teeth follow soon or I'll look like a fucking rabbit

3rd Tray In!

Just popped in my 3rd set of trays.

The fit is somewhat weird. It didn't "pop" into place like usual. I feel like there's a bit of space between the top of the teeth and the aligner. Not much movement noticeable but I have noticed that I can slide floss between two bottom left pre molars much easier than before so that's definitely moved.

Once again, the right side of my mouth does not feel any tension. It's all on the left side. Here's what the new trays look like:

Projected movements...I think I like the way it looks better a few trays before the last one. Towards the end, it just pushes it all together...we'll see how the actual teeth look once the time comes I guess.

Got my second set of trays!!

I think I'm going to take one of these pictures after each tray to record the progress. Here's what it looks like after 2 weeks of the first tray. I don't see any differences but the second tray is much tighter and the first tray snaps on very easily so clearly there have been some changes somewhere...can't see it though. Here's the pic.

5 Days in!

Okay just an update.
It has been 5 days since I've had my first tray in. I haven't told any family or friends mostly because I want to see if anyone notices them. Maybe they have but don't want to be all up on my business so haven't commented on it...time will tell I guess.

I wanted to note that the aligners feel very "comformed" to my teeth right now. I'm not sure if my teeth have moved slightly or if the aligners have bended to better fit my teeth (hopefully it's the former) but I do not feel the tension I used to feel when I first got them. The first couple of days were the most uncomfortable. This was especially true when I took the aligners out for eating. The first minute after taking them out is the only time I every felt any real discomfort. Having them on was more comfortable than having them out.

Now, I can pop them in and out and I don't feel a thing. There is still very slight tension in my lower left side but not any where close to what it was.

In any case, I thought I should probably post some "before" pictures just so I have a reference for when I'm done with this treatment. I have never actually paid this close of attention to my teeth before but taking these pics has made me realize that addressing this has been long overdue. I'm glad I finally took the initiative.
Here's my current retarded smile haha.

Eeeee

What a beautiful sight.
As you can see, the teeth are pretty healthy otherwise. It's just the fucking gaps X

 Damn I feel like I'm a bat.

Got my first aligner!

I just got back from my appointment and received my first pair of aligners.
I have 8 "buttons", 5 on upper and 3 on lower teeth that help the aligners rotate teeth. All of them except for the one on my top left canine are out of sight so I guess it's not that bad. Although the one on the canine is a pretty huge one so it's pretty noticeable, especially from a side view.

The aligners are in now and they are much more comfortable to have on than I imagined they would be. They actually make my teeth look better, especially the lower teeth. It makes the gap between the teeth seem smaller. My dentist was joking about how I have "instant" results haha.

Right now, the most tension I feel is on my upper left side. The dentist said that I can expect that each tray would feel tighter in different areas.

The other thing is that the "buttons" on my teeth feel really rough. It feels like you constantly have food stuck on your teeth when the aligners are out. It feels ALOT better, with the aligners in. I actually prefer having them in than out as far as comfort goes but I only got these about an hour ago so that may change. Hopefully not though.
Here are some pics:

I think it looks better with the aligners on than without HAHAHA

Closing the gaps

I'm going to be starting Invisalign soon and I'm starting this to keep track of my progress.
I'm 22 years old and have lots of gaps between my teeth. My teeth are very healthy otherwise but the gaps make them look sick. I will be updating this blog from time to time as my treatment goes along.

Here are some before pictures:
